Skillzy Young Scholars teaches live online classes for students in Grades 1-12.

How do you decide where my child should start?

Every student begins with a diagnostic assessment and a free counselling conversation. We use the results to find strengths and gaps, then build a personalised plan.

Are classes one-on-one or in a group?

Group batches are capped at 4 students, and 1:1 sessions are also available. All sessions are live and 50 minutes long.

Can my child try a class first?

Yes. You can book a free demo class and a 1:1 counselling session with no commitment from the demo page.

Can you help with school math and competitions?

Yes. Many students do both: regular math tutoring for school grades and a separate competition track such as AMC 8, MATHCOUNTS or Math Kangaroo.

My child is behind in math. Can you help?

Yes. The diagnostic shows exactly which skills are missing, and lessons rebuild those foundations before moving ahead.

How our Math tutoring works

Math builds on itself, so one missed idea in fractions can become a struggle in algebra. Our tutors start with a diagnostic, close the gaps first, and then move your child toward grade-level work and, where it fits, competition-level problem solving. Lessons are informed by the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and adapted to your child’s school and goals.

What we teach, by grade

Grades 1–2

Number sense and place value, addition and subtraction fluency, early multiplication ideas, shapes, time, money and measurement.

Grades 3–5

Multiplication and division, fractions and decimals, area and perimeter, and multi-step word problems.

Grades 6–8

Ratios and proportions, integers, expressions and equations, geometry, statistics, and Pre-Algebra to Algebra 1.

Grades 9–12

Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Precalculus, SAT and ACT math, and support for AP-level math.
