Welcome to Skillzy Young Scholars ("Skillzy", "we", "our", or "us"). These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, Moodle LMS platform, educational services, live virtual classes, competitive exam prep, content, and related resources.

By enrolling in any Skillzy Young Scholars program, accessing our website, or using our services, students and parents/guardians agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. ABOUT SKILLZY YOUNG SCHOLARS

Skillzy Young Scholars is an online educational platform that provides live academic learning programs, subject tutoring, competitive exam preparation (AMC, MATHCOUNTS, SAT, AP, Science Olympiad, USACO, State Tests), mentoring, assessments, and educational support services for students from Grade 1 through Grade 12.

2. ELIGIBILITY

• Our services are intended for students enrolled in Grade 1 through Grade 12 as well as students preparing for US competitive exams.
• Students under the age of 18 must be enrolled and supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or authorized representative.
• Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that all enrollment information provided is accurate and up to date.

3. ENROLLMENT

Enrollment is considered complete only after:

• Required student and course selection details have been submitted.
• Payment has been successfully received.
• Student onboarding and Moodle LMS account setup have been completed.
• Access to live classes and learning resources has been granted by Skillzy Young Scholars.

Skillzy Young Scholars reserves the right to accept, reject, suspend, or terminate enrollment at its discretion where necessary to maintain academic standards, safety, or compliance with these Terms.

4. CLASS PACKAGES

Skillzy Young Scholars offers prepaid class packages for both core academic tutoring and competitive exam coaching, including but not limited to:

• 25-Class Package
• 50-Class Package
• 100-Class Package

Students are responsible for utilizing purchased classes within the applicable learning schedule and availability. Class packages are non-transferable unless otherwise approved in writing by Skillzy Young Scholars.

5. LIVE ONLINE CLASSES

All classes are conducted live online via our integrated classroom portal. Students are expected to:

• Join live classes on time (tutors will wait up to 15 minutes in the online classroom before marking a session as missed).
• Maintain respectful behavior and participate in a constructive learning environment.
• Use appropriate language and conduct across live classes and LMS discussion forums.
• Follow tutor instructions and classroom guidelines.

Skillzy Young Scholars reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior disrupts the learning environment.

6. ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION

• Students are responsible for attending scheduled academic and competition coaching sessions.
• Failure to attend a scheduled class may result in class deduction according to the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Students should ensure they have a stable internet connection, appropriate learning equipment (computer/tablet with camera and microphone), and a suitable learning environment.

7. CLASS RECORDINGS & MOCK EXAM ANALYTICS

To support educational quality, student revision, and competition preparation, live classes may be recorded. Recordings may include audio participation, video participation, shared screens, educational materials, and classroom discussions. Students and parents consent to such recordings by participating in our programs. Recordings, worksheets, and mock exam analytics are stored securely and shared strictly through our Moodle LMS portal.

8. STUDENT PHOTOGRAPHS

Student photographs may be collected during enrollment or grade promotion ceremonies for identification, account creation, and educational administration purposes. Skillzy Young Scholars will not sell student photographs or use them for commercial advertising without explicit parent consent.

9. TUTOR ASSIGNMENTS AND TUTOR CHANGES

Skillzy Young Scholars assigns subject specialists and competition coaches based on academic requirements, student goals, availability, and scheduling considerations. If a student or parent is not satisfied with an assigned tutor, a tutor change may be requested (up to a maximum of three requests per package).

Subject to availability:

• One complimentary demo class may be provided with each newly assigned tutor.
• Demo classes provided for evaluation purposes will not be deducted from the student's class balance.
• Class deductions will begin only after the student confirms continuation with the selected tutor.

10. FEES AND PAYMENTS

All fees must be paid in advance. Payments may be processed through approved payment providers, including Wise and other authorized payment methods. The parent or student is responsible for ensuring payment information is accurate and authorized. Failure to complete payment may result in suspension of LMS and class access.

11. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

All payments, cancellations, rescheduling requests, tutor change requests, and refund matters are governed by the Skillzy Young Scholars Refund & Cancellation Policy. By enrolling, students and parents agree to that policy.

12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All educational materials provided by Skillzy Young Scholars remain the exclusive property of Skillzy Young Scholars or its licensors. This includes lesson plans, worksheets, competition problem sets, mock tests, presentations, assessments, study guides, recorded content, and LMS resources. Students and parents may use materials solely for personal educational purposes. Copying, republishing, selling, distributing, modifying, or sharing materials with third parties is strictly prohibited.

13. ACCEPTABLE USE

Students, parents, and users agree not to:

• Disrupt live classes, contest prep sessions, or learning activities.
• Impersonate another person or share LMS login credentials with unauthorized individuals.
• Upload harmful, offensive, unlawful, or inappropriate content.
• Attempt unauthorized access to platform systems or user accounts.
• Record, reproduce, or distribute classes or proprietary test prep materials without authorization.

14. TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

Students are responsible for maintaining appropriate equipment and internet access necessary for participation. Skillzy Young Scholars is not responsible for student internet failures, device malfunctions, or local technical issues beyond our control.

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skillzy Young Scholars shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, loss of educational opportunities, service interruptions beyond our reasonable control, or technical failures caused by third-party providers. Educational outcomes may vary, and Skillzy Young Scholars does not guarantee specific academic grades, competition awards, examination scores, college admissions, scholarships, or rank placements.

16. TERMINATION OF SERVICES

Skillzy Young Scholars reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to services if these Terms & Conditions are violated, fraudulent activity is suspected, payments remain outstanding, or student/parent conduct is abusive, threatening, or disruptive. Termination does not automatically entitle the student to any refund.

17. PRIVACY

The collection, storage, and use of personal information are governed by the Skillzy Young Scholars Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the practices described in that policy.

18. FORCE MAJEURE

Skillzy Young Scholars shall not be responsible for delays, interruptions, or service disruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, severe internet outages, power failures, or public emergencies). Services will be rescheduled where reasonably possible.

19. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

Skillzy Young Scholars may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on our website and learning platform. Continued use of our services following publication of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes.
