Welcome to Skillzy Young Scholars ("we", "our", or "us"). These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of our website, LMS platform, educational services, live virtual classes, competitive exam prep, content, and related resources.

By enrolling in any Skillzy Young Scholars program, booking a demo class, accessing our website, or using our services, students and parents/guardians agree to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.

1. ABOUT SKILLZY YOUNG SCHOLARS

Skillzy Young Scholars is an online educational platform that provides live academic learning programs, subject tutoring, competitive exam preparation (AMC, MATHCOUNTS, SAT, PSAT, ACT, AP, Science Olympiad, USACO, State Tests), mentoring, assessments, and educational support services for students from Grade 1 through Grade 12.

2. ELIGIBILITY

• Our services are intended for students enrolled in Grade 1 through Grade 12, as well as students preparing for US competitive exams.
• Students under the age of 18 must be enrolled and supervised by a parent, legal guardian, or authorized representative. Only a parent or legal guardian may create an enrollment, make payments, or accept these Terms on behalf of a minor.
• Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring that all enrollment information provided is accurate and up to date.

3. FREE DEMO CLASSES

• Each new student is eligible for two (2) free demo classes per subject. Demo classes are free of charge, require no payment details, and do not create any obligation to enroll.
• Each demo class is a live session of up to 50 minutes. Skillzy Young Scholars may choose whether a demo is conducted in a 1:1 or small-group format.
• Demo classes are available to new students only, are limited to two per subject, and are not deducted from any class package. Skillzy Young Scholars may decline or limit demo bookings where misuse or repeated duplicate bookings are suspected.
• Demo classes are separate from the complimentary evaluation class provided when a tutor change is requested (see Section 10).

4. ENROLLMENT

Enrollment is considered complete only after:

• Required student and course selection details have been submitted.
• Payment has been successfully received.
• Student onboarding and LMS account setup have been completed.
• Access to live classes and learning resources has been granted by Skillzy Young Scholars.

Skillzy Young Scholars reserves the right to accept, reject, suspend, or terminate enrollment at its discretion where necessary to maintain academic standards, safety, or compliance with these Terms.

5. CLASS FORMATS AND CLASS PACKAGES

Skillzy Young Scholars offers live online classes in two formats:

• 1:1 Private Classes: one student with one tutor.
• Small Group Classes: a batch of a maximum of four (4) students with one tutor.

Each class is a live session of up to 50 minutes. Classes are purchased through prepaid, per-subject class packages for both core academic tutoring and competitive exam coaching:

• 20-Class Package
• 50-Class Package
• 100-Class Package

Current pricing is provided by Skillzy Young Scholars directly at the time of enrollment. Class packages apply to one subject and one class format (1:1 or group), and are non-transferable between students, subjects, or formats unless approved in writing by Skillzy Young Scholars.

Package validity. Classes in a package must be used within the following period from the date of purchase: 20-Class Package – 6 months; 50-Class Package – 12 months; 100-Class Package – 18 months. Classes not used within this period expire. Skillzy Young Scholars may, at its discretion, extend validity in cases of documented medical or other serious circumstances.

6. LIVE ONLINE CLASSES

All classes are conducted live online via our integrated classroom portal. Class times are scheduled according to tutor availability and the student's time zone. Students are expected to:

• Join live classes on time (tutors will wait up to 15 minutes in the online classroom before marking a session as missed).
• Maintain respectful behavior and participate in a constructive learning environment.
• Use appropriate language and conduct across live classes and LMS discussion forums.
• Follow tutor instructions and classroom guidelines.

Skillzy Young Scholars reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior disrupts the learning environment.

7. GROUP BATCHES

• Group classes are not rescheduled when a student cancels or cannot attend. They are rescheduled only when the class could not be held because of an issue on Skillzy Young Scholars' side. Cancellation and notice rules are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Group classes run on a fixed schedule and will be conducted as scheduled, even if fewer than four students are present in a session.
• If the number of students in a batch falls significantly, Skillzy Young Scholars may, with reasonable advance notice, merge the batch with another batch of the same subject and level, or offer a 1:1 alternative. Merging batches does not reduce the number of classes remaining in a student's package.
• Skillzy Young Scholars may adjust batch composition to keep students at a similar grade level and ability.

8. ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION

• Students are responsible for attending scheduled academic and competition coaching sessions.
• If a student cannot attend, the parent must inform Skillzy Young Scholars at least four (4) hours before the class. With proper notice, the class is added back to the student's balance (rescheduling is available for 1:1 classes only). Without notice, the class is considered a paid class and is deducted, as set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Students should ensure they have a stable internet connection, appropriate learning equipment (computer/tablet with camera and microphone), and a suitable learning environment.

9. CLASS RECORDINGS & MOCK EXAM ANALYTICS

To support educational quality, student revision, safety, and competition preparation, live classes may be recorded. Recordings may include audio, video, shared screens, chat, educational materials, and classroom discussions. By participating in our programs, parents/guardians consent to such recordings on behalf of their child. Recordings, worksheets, and mock exam analytics are stored securely and shared only through our LMS portal. Please see our Privacy Policy for how recordings are stored and retained.

10. TUTOR ASSIGNMENTS AND TUTOR CHANGES

Skillzy Young Scholars assigns subject specialists and competition coaches based on academic requirements, student goals, availability, and scheduling considerations. If a student or parent is not satisfied with an assigned tutor, a tutor change may be requested (up to a maximum of three requests per package).

Subject to availability:

• One complimentary evaluation class may be provided with each newly assigned tutor.
• Evaluation classes will not be deducted from the student's class balance.
• Class deductions resume only after the student confirms continuation with the selected tutor.

11. FEES AND PAYMENTS

• All fees must be paid in advance, in US dollars (USD), unless Skillzy Young Scholars confirms otherwise in writing.
• Payments are processed through approved third-party payment providers, including Wise and other authorized payment methods. Skillzy Young Scholars does not store your card or bank details.
• Currency conversion charges, bank fees, or provider fees charged by your bank or payment method are the responsibility of the payer. Skillzy Young Scholars is not responsible for exchange-rate differences.
• The parent or student is responsible for ensuring payment information is accurate and authorized. Failure to complete payment may result in suspension of LMS and class access.
• Prices and package offers may change from time to time. A price change does not affect packages already paid for.

12. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

All payments, cancellations, rescheduling requests, tutor change requests, and refund matters are governed by the Skillzy Young Scholars Refund & Cancellation Policy. By enrolling, students and parents agree to that policy.

13. REFERRAL PROGRAM

Skillzy Young Scholars offers an optional Referral Program through which enrolled families may earn bonus classes for referring new families who enroll in a paid class package. Rewards, eligibility requirements, and terms are governed by the Skillzy Young Scholars Referral Policy. By participating in the Referral Program, users agree to that policy.

14. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All educational materials provided by Skillzy Young Scholars remain the exclusive property of Skillzy Young Scholars or its licensors. This includes lesson plans, worksheets, competition problem sets, mock tests, presentations, assessments, study guides, recorded content, and LMS resources. Students and parents may use materials solely for personal educational purposes. Copying, republishing, selling, distributing, modifying, or sharing materials with third parties is strictly prohibited.

Skillzy Young Scholars is an independent tutoring provider and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the organizers of any exam referred to on this website (including AMC, MATHCOUNTS, SAT, PSAT, ACT, AP, Science Olympiad, and USACO). Exam names are used only to describe the preparation we offer.

15. ACCEPTABLE USE

Students, parents, and users agree not to:

• Disrupt live classes, contest prep sessions, or learning activities.
• Impersonate another person or share LMS login credentials with unauthorized individuals.
• Upload harmful, offensive, unlawful, or inappropriate content.
• Attempt unauthorized access to platform systems or user accounts.
• Record, reproduce, or distribute classes or proprietary test prep materials without authorization.
• Contact tutors outside channels approved by Skillzy Young Scholars for private lessons or non-academic purposes.

16. TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS

Students are responsible for maintaining appropriate equipment and internet access necessary for participation. Skillzy Young Scholars is not responsible for student internet failures, device malfunctions, or local technical issues beyond our control.

17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Skillzy Young Scholars shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data, loss of educational opportunities, service interruptions beyond our reasonable control, or technical failures caused by third-party providers. Our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount paid by you for the affected package. Educational outcomes may vary, and Skillzy Young Scholars does not guarantee specific academic grades, competition awards, examination scores, college admissions, scholarships, or rank placements.

18. TERMINATION OF SERVICES

Skillzy Young Scholars reserves the right to suspend or terminate access to services if these Terms & Conditions are violated, fraudulent activity is suspected, payments remain outstanding, or student/parent conduct is abusive, threatening, or disruptive. Termination for such reasons does not entitle the student to a refund.

19. PRIVACY AND CHILD SAFETY

The collection, storage, and use of personal information are governed by the Skillzy Young Scholars Privacy Policy. Our commitments to protecting students are set out in the Child Safety & Protection Policy. Our use of cookies is described in the Cookie Policy. By using our services, you agree to the practices described in those policies.

20. FORCE MAJEURE

Skillzy Young Scholars shall not be responsible for delays, interruptions, or service disruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, severe internet outages, power failures, or public emergencies). Services will be rescheduled where reasonably possible.

21. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTES

We encourage you to contact us first at support@skillzyyoungscholars.com so that we can try to resolve any concern informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights you may have under the laws of your place of residence.

22. MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

Skillzy Young Scholars may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. Updated versions will be published on our website and learning platform. Continued use of our services following publication of revised Terms constitutes acceptance of those changes. Changes do not reduce the number of classes already paid for.

23. GENERAL

If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the policies referred to above, form the entire agreement between you and Skillzy Young Scholars regarding our services.
