About eCYBERMISSION

A web-based STEM competition supported by the US Army that challenges middle school teams to use science or engineering to address real community issues.

eCYBERMISSION Exam Format & Focus

Team-based project (2–4 students) where teams complete a "Mission Folder" detailing a scientific inquiry or engineering design process focused on community impact.

How Skillzy Young Scholars Prepares Students for eCYBERMISSION

Skillzy Young Scholars offers project mentorship on scientific method structure, engineering documentation, experimental design, and Mission Folder review to maximize state and regional award potential.

What eCYBERMISSION Covers

  • Choosing a community problem that can be investigated with science or engineering
  • Designing a fair experiment or engineering solution and collecting credible evidence
  • Organizing the Mission Folder, explaining results and connecting evidence to the claim

Sample eCYBERMISSION Prep Plan

  • Begin with a eCYBERMISSION diagnostic and check the current official format, scoring rules and eligible level.
  • Weeks 3–5: build a topic notebook, practise interpreting evidence and explain answers aloud.
  • Weeks 6–8: complete timed sets or event simulations and review weak concepts.
  • Final phase: rehearse event procedures, check materials or project requirements, and refine pacing.

Common eCYBERMISSION Mistakes We Help Students Avoid

  • Preparing for eCYBERMISSION using a generic or outdated format instead of checking the current official guidance.
  • Ignoring the official event rules, scoring rubric or allowed materials.
  • Leaving practice, lab procedures or project documentation until the final week.

Every student starts with a diagnostic assessment so we can see exactly where the gaps are. We then build a personalised prep plan, teach the concepts behind each question type, and practise under timed conditions. Every wrong answer is analysed so the same mistake does not repeat. Parents receive monthly progress reports and can see improvement clearly over time.
